Splash Pads

Splash pads in South Jersey are basically unicorns—we’ve only got a handful, and some are free while others require admission. Not a ton, but hey… we’ll take what we can get! The FREE Splash Pads are listed first, followed by paid options, Camden spray pools, and a few extra maps/resources.

Click each title to visit the website. Click each address for Google Maps.

Free Splash Pads
Fasola Splash Pad
Deptford
CLOSED FOR MAINTENANCE

FASOLA SPLASH PAD

📍 12 Sycamore Ln, Deptford Township

Please Note: As of 6/3/26, Fasola Splash Pad is currently closed for maintenance. I’ll update this listing once I find out it has reopened.

Some might argue this isn’t a “real” splash pad—it’s more like a glorified sprinkler coming out of the ground. But when you live in an area seriously lacking in splash pads, you take what you can get and call it a win!

Wildwood Crest Sunrise Park
Wildwood

WILDWOOD CREST SUNRISE PARK

📍 6900 Ocean Ave, Wildwood

This splash pad is kind of like the hidden gem of South Jersey water play—it’s rarely mentioned, probably because it’s a bit of a hike for Camden and Burlington County folks. But if you're already heading down the shore and want to cool off somewhere that feels like a mythical South Jersey unicorn, aka a decent splash pad that actually exists, this one is totally worth the detour.

JOHN C. BARTLETT JR. COUNTY PARK SPRAY PARK

Seasonal Note: Opens Memorial Day Weekend. Hours are typically 10 AM - 6 PM, weather permitting.

This one is a bit farther for a lot of South Jersey families, but it’s free and located inside a county park, so it’s a great option if you’re already heading toward the shore or want to make a little day trip out of it.

Cost: Free

Mom Note: This is in Ocean County, so yes, I double checked that county placement approximately 437 times because New Jersey likes to keep us humble. 🤣

RANCOCAS WOODS SPLASH PARK

📍 2901 Marne Hwy, Mount Laurel

Coming Soon: This splash park is not open yet, but it’s one to keep on your radar.

Big news, especially for those of us dreaming of more splash pads in South Jersey! At the old Cater 2U site in Rancocas Woods, there are plans in the works for a brand-new playground AND splash pad. Word on the mom-street, aka the rumor mill, is that construction may have already started, so fingers crossed we’ll see something awesome rise up by next summer.

Sure, it doesn’t help with this year’s heatwave... but tuck this one into your mental “Summer 2026 Survival Kit” because things are looking promising!

COMING SOON

Romano Youth Sports Complex

📍 Maple Avenue, Vineland

Status: Under construction — not open yet.

A brand-new playground and splash area is currently under construction at the Romano Youth Sports Complex on Maple Avenue in Vineland.

Once completed, this will become one of the very few splash pad-style attractions in South Jersey, making it one to keep on your radar for future summers.

Mom Note: Unfortunately it won't help us survive this summer's heat, but future parents may look back on this guide and laugh at how excited we were for every new splash pad announcement. 😂

Camden Spray Pools
Camden City
Spray Pools
Please Note: At the time this guide was published, I was unable to find an official announcement confirming the 2026 operating schedule for Camden's spray pools. These locations have historically operated during the summer months, but I recommend verifying they are running before making a special trip.

Let’s talk spray pools vs. splash pads—because yes, there is a difference.

A splash pad is usually colorful and packed with fun features like sprayers, tunnels, dumping buckets, and water play structures.

A spray pool is much simpler—think concrete pads and water sprayers. No bells and whistles, but when it’s 95 degrees, the kids are melting, and you're questioning every life choice that led you outdoors... they absolutely get the job done. 😂

Fun Fact: Camden City has 9 spray pools, which is actually more public water play areas than many South Jersey communities.

Click any location below to open GPS directions.

Please Note:
Splash pad and spray pool operations can change on a daily basis. Things break, maintenance happens, and sometimes the water just... doesn't turn on. 😅 If you discover a location isn't operating, let me know so I can update the guide and help other parents avoid a wasted trip.
Pool Clubs

Pool clubs are a summer staple in South Jersey, but memberships can be expensive and day passes add up quicker than you'd think. If you're looking to cool off without committing to a full membership, these pool clubs offer public admission and day pass options.

Sorted by price—from the most budget-friendly to the ones that might make your wallet side-eye you.

Pool Price Guide

FREE ($5-$15) ($16-$25) ($26-$34) ($35+)

Price tiers are based on the current non-member/non-resident day pass pricing listed in this guide.

Soupy Island — West Deptford FREE

SOUPY ISLAND

📍 1718 Front Street, West Deptford

Okay, so Soupy Island isn’t technically a pool club… but they do have two pools, so we’re sliding them into this category anyway. And honestly? It’s hands-down the cheapest option for South Jersey families this summer—because it’s completely FREE. Yep, you read that right.

The catch? There’s an age restriction—so definitely double-check before packing up your crew. But if you’ve got kiddos who meet the age criteria, it’s a no-brainer.

It’s fun, it’s free, and it’s got water—what more could you ask for? They open to the public starting July 7, 2026 - August 13, 2026 and are open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays.

👉 CLICK HERE to see their full schedule and find out when the pools are open to the public!

Willingboro Country Club Pool — Willingboro $

WILLINGBORO COUNTRY CLUB POOL

📍 440 Beverly Rancocas Road, Willingboro

Willingboro Country Club Pool is still one of the most budget-friendly pool day pass options around. For 2026, daily admission is $5 for residents and $8 for non-residents, which is honestly still a win when you just need somewhere to cool off without taking out a small summer loan.

For 2026, the Country Club Pool is the only operational Willingboro community pool due to structural issues at Pennypacker Pool.

They opened for weekends starting May 23, 2026, with daily operations beginning June 27, 2026. Willingboro is also using a digital admissions process, so check their website before heading over.

2026 Daily Open Swim Hours:

  • Sunday: 12 PM - 7 PM
  • Monday: 1 PM - 6 PM
  • Tuesday & Wednesday: 1 PM - 8 PM
  • Thursday: 1 PM - 6 PM
  • Friday: 1 PM - 8 PM
  • Saturday: 12 PM - 7 PM
The Kroc Center — Camden $

THE KROC CENTER

📍 1865 Harrison Avenue, Camden

The Kroc Center is kind of the perfect middle ground between a swim club and an indoor water park. So while it's technically neither, it's absolutely earning a spot in this guide.

Inside you'll find a heated indoor water park complete with splash features, play structures, slides, and plenty of space for younger kids to burn off some energy without spending an entire day at a major water park.

Even better? You don't need a membership. The Kroc Center offers $15 day passes, making it one of the more affordable indoor swimming options in South Jersey.

Heads up: Day passes are only valid during designated Open Swim times and cannot be used during Member Only sessions.

Current Water Park Schedule:

  • Monday: Closed
  • Tuesday: 4:30 PM - 7:30 PM (Member Only)
  • Wednesday: Closed
  • Thursday: 4:30 PM - 7:30 PM (Member Only)
  • Friday: 4:30 PM - 7:30 PM (Member Only)
  • Saturday: 12 PM - 3 PM (Member Only)
    3 PM - 7:30 PM (Open Swim)
  • Sunday: 12 PM - 3 PM (Member Only)
    3 PM - 5:30 PM (Open Swim)

Hours and availability may change throughout the year, so always check the Kroc Center website before heading out.

Flying W Airport & Resort — Medford $$

FLYING W AIRPORT & RESORT

📍 60 Fostertown Road, Medford

The Flying W in Medford isn’t your typical pool day. For starters, the pool is shaped like an actual airplane—because why not? And as if that’s not cool enough, it’s right next to a real landing strip, so you can float and watch planes take off and land. Basically, it’s like swimming with a live-action Discovery Channel backdrop.

And for your little aviation enthusiasts, there’s a newly renovated playground that features the cutest helicopter play structure—perfect for piloting some high-energy fun after a swim.

Day passes are $20 per person ages 3 and up, but kids 2 and under fly free. ✈️ Definitely a unique spot to cool off with some built-in entertainment!

JCC Swim Club — Medford $$$

JCC SWIM CLUB

📍 400 Tuckerton Road, Medford

JCC Camps at Medford has a Summer Swim Club with pools, slides, a wading pool, splash park, lakefront activities, playgrounds, picnic areas, and more. Basically, it’s not just “go swim and leave”—there’s a lot packed in here.

You do not have to be a member to visit with a community day pass. For 2026, the Community Guest Rate is $15 per child up to age 12 and $35 per adult.

Their Summer 2026 Schedule is:

  • Open Saturday, June 27 through Sunday, August 30
  • Open Saturdays and Sundays, 12 PM - 6 PM
  • Also open Friday, July 3
Robert's Pool — Collingswood $$$

ROBERT'S POOL

📍 215 Hillcrest Ave, Collingswood

Robert’s Pool in Collingswood is a solid go-to for summer swimming. It’s not the kind of place with water slides or lazy rivers—but it’s clean, well-kept, and perfect for a refreshing dip when the temps start climbing.

For 2026, Robert’s Pool opens weekends starting June 6 and officially opens daily starting June 23.

Day bands are cash only: $15 per person for Collingswood residents and $30 per person for non-Collingswood residents.

So if you’re looking for a reliable place to splash and play, Robert’s Pool is a great local option—assuming you’re not bringing the entire soccer team. 😅

Crystal Lake Pool — Haddon Township $$$$

CRYSTAL LAKE POOL

📍 W Crystal Lake Ave, Haddon Township / W Park Ave

Crystal Lake Pool is one of the higher-priced day-pass options on this list, but it also offers a full-day pool experience with extended hours and plenty of room to spread out. If you're planning to spend the day swimming, relaxing, and making the most of your visit, it may be worth the splurge for your family.

For 2026, Haddon Township residents can purchase a one-day pass for $17 per person. Non-residents can purchase a one-day pass for $35 per person. Day passes are cash only and purchased at the pool entrance gate.

2026 Pool Hours:
Pre-season weekends only, May 23 - June 14: 12 PM - 6 PM
Regular season begins June 18 through September 7:
Weekdays: 12 PM - 8 PM
Weekends: 10 AM - 8 PM

Holiday Hours:
Fourth of July: 12 PM - 6 PM
Labor Day: 12 PM - 6 PM

Just remember to bring cash if you're purchasing a day pass and plan to arrive early on especially hot days—this is a popular spot once summer temperatures start climbing. ☀️💦

💰 MONEY-SAVING TIP: Can’t swing the day pass fees? Try Swimply to rent a private pool by the hour—sometimes it’s cheaper and quieter, especially if you go in with a few parents! Or book a local hotel for a night and take advantage of their pool. Instant staycation vibes!

Quick heads-up: times, pricing, and schedules can change, especially with staffing or weather. I do my best to share accurate info based on what’s posted by each location, but always double-check before heading out. See something different? Let me know!

Swim Schools & Open Swim

Swim schools might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you're trying to beat the heat—mostly because they’re indoors. But hey, swimming is swimming, and air-conditioned inside and warm water still counts!

Some swim schools in South Jersey offer open swim hours that may be open to the public—not just their students or members. So if you’re looking for an easy, weatherproof way to cool off, these spots are worth checking out!

⚠️ Important: Swim school open swims can change, be canceled, or fill up quickly. Always check with the facility directly before heading out. The schedules below are based on information available at the time this guide was updated.

Here is a list of swim schools that may offer public open swim hours:

Kids First Swim School — Cherry Hill $

Kids First Swim School

📍 1900 Greentree Road, Cherry Hill

Kids First Swim School in Cherry Hill periodically offers Open Swim opportunities for the public. Currently, they are offering Open Swim on Fridays, but schedules can change frequently based on lessons, staffing, special events, and pool availability.

Because their Open Swim schedule is not always consistent, I highly recommend calling ahead before making plans. Their pools are designed with kids in mind and start at just 2 feet deep, making them a great option for younger swimmers looking to cool off indoors.

To confirm upcoming Open Swim dates and pricing, please give them a call.

Goldfish Swim School — Mount Laurel $

Goldfish Swim School

📍 2036 Briggs Road, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054

Goldfish Swim School in Mount Laurel has offered Family Swim during select weekday hours. Their schedule has previously listed Family Swim on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12 PM–1 PM, but swim school schedules can shift quickly.

If you’re already a member, Family Swim may be included. If you’re not a member, non-member pricing has typically been listed at around $5 per person, making it another budget-friendly indoor option when available.

That said, always call ahead before heading out—open swim times can change, fill up, or be canceled. Better safe than showing up with swim bags and disappointed kiddos!

Quick heads-up: swim school open swims are especially subject to change due to lessons, private events, staffing, and maintenance. Always confirm times directly with the facility before visiting. See something different? Let me know!

Amusement Centers with Water Fun

Mom Tip: These places are FUN… but also chaotic and pricey. Go early, check deals, and bring snacks unless you want to emotionally recover from concession stand prices later 😅
Lakeside Beaches

Looking for water without the waves? These lake spots give you that beachy feel without the salt, tides, or boardwalk crowds.

Think calmer water, easier setups, and way less chaos (well… slightly less 😅).

🚨 WATER SAFETY WARNING 🚨

NEVER SWIM IF LIFEGUARDS ARE NOT PRESENT

Lakes can have sudden drop-offs, underwater hazards, changing conditions, and poor visibility. Always swim during posted operating hours and only in designated swimming areas when lifeguards are on duty.

If you've been looking for a beach day without fighting shore traffic, Wenonah Lake might be your new favorite summer find. This seasonal swimming lake features a sandy beach, lifeguards on duty, kayaking, and plenty of space for families to spread out and enjoy the day.

Bianchini Beach & Park offers a small neighborhood lakefront setting with a playground, picnic space, and seasonal beach access. Swimming availability can vary throughout the season based on staffing, water conditions, and operational decisions, so it's important to confirm current conditions before visiting.

Lake Garrison — Monroeville Admission Fee

Lake Garrison

📍 849 Buck Road, Monroeville

Lake Garrison is a longtime South Jersey summer favorite. With a sandy beach, lifeguarded swimming area, playground, picnic space, snack stand, and boat rentals, it's one of the closest things you'll find to a classic lake beach day without heading to the shore.

Whether you're bringing the kids to splash in the water, spending the afternoon on the beach, or renting a boat, there's plenty to keep everyone entertained.

Weekdays: $12 per person
Weekends: $18 per person
Holidays: $18 per person (gate purchase only)

Parvin State Park — Pittsgrove SWIMMING CLOSED FOR 2026 ENTRY FEE

Parvin State Park

📍 701 Almond Rd, Pittsgrove

Sandy lake beach with designated swim area, bathrooms, and shaded picnic spots.

2026 Swim Status: Swimming is closed for the 2026 season.

Cost: NJ State Park entry fee may apply seasonally.

Mom Tip: Lake spots can close when capacity is hit, especially Atsion. Go early, pack snacks, and always double-check swim conditions before heading out!
Creeks & Nature Water Play

These aren’t swimming beaches, splash pads, or water parks — they’re more like “let the kids splash around the edges, throw rocks, look for tiny creek critters, and somehow still end up soaked” kind of spots. Water levels can change depending on recent rainfall, so water shoes are definitely recommended.

PLEASE NOTE: These are natural water areas, not designated swimming locations. Conditions can change after rainfall, and children should always be closely supervised and kept within arm's reach near any water.
(FREE) Saddler's Woods — Haddon Township

Saddler's Woods Conservation Association

📍 250 MacArthur Blvd, Haddon Township

Saddler's Woods is a preserved wooded area with shaded trails and access near Newton Creek. It’s not a swimming spot, but it can be a sweet little nature stop for kids who like shallow creek exploring, rock tossing, stick collecting, and tiny critter hunting.

Cost: Free

Good to Know: Water levels and access can vary depending on recent weather and rainfall. Water shoes are strongly recommended.

Mom Tip: Bring a small net or bucket if your kid is the “I found a leaf and now it’s my best friend” type. This is that kind of place. 😂

(FREE) Timber Creek Park — Blackwood

Timber Creek Park

📍 Blackwood, NJ

Timber Creek Park has wooded trails, creek access, and plenty of room for little nature explorers. This is more of a shallow creek-splashing, muddy-shoes, rock-tossing kind of stop than a formal water play area.

Cost: Free

Good to Know: Creek access can vary depending on trail conditions and recent rain. This is not a lifeguarded or maintained swimming area.

Mom Tip: Bring water shoes, towels, and possibly backup clothes unless you enjoy the car ride home with a damp toddler. Which… no one does.

(FREE) Batsto River Area — Hammonton / Wharton State Forest

Wharton State Forest / Batsto Village Area

📍 Batsto Village, Hammonton, NJ

The Batsto River area has that classic Pine Barrens feel with sandy paths, shallow water edges, and lots of nature exploring. This is a great spot for families looking for more of a creek-style splash and explore day.

Cost: Free

Good to Know: Stick to shallow edge areas and avoid faster-moving water. This is nature water play, not a swimming destination.

Mom Tip: The sandy Pine Barrens bottom is much more toddler-friendly than rocky creek beds, but still bring water shoes because kids will find every weird stick, root, and mystery squish known to mankind.

(FREE) Atsion River Area — Shamong / Wharton State Forest

Wharton State Forest / Atsion Area

📍 Atsion Recreation Area, Shamong, NJ

Atsion is usually known for the lake, but the surrounding area also has shallow Pine Barrens water spots and sandy edges that feel more like creek exploring than beach swimming.

Cost: Free for general forest access; lake/beach fees may apply seasonally if using the guarded beach area.

Good to Know: This listing is for nature exploring around the shallow water areas, not the formal beach or lake swimming area.

Mom Tip: This is a good “let’s explore and see what we find” spot. Translation: bring snacks, bug spray, water shoes, towels, and emotional support iced coffee.

(FREE) Black Run Preserve — Marlton

Black Run Preserve

📍 Marlton, NJ

Black Run Preserve has trails, sandy paths, and Pine Barrens-style stream areas. Depending on where you access the preserve, families may find shallow water spots for creek-side exploring, splashing, and nature play.

Cost: Free

Good to Know: This is a natural preserve, so trails and water access can be uneven, muddy, or seasonal. Stay on marked trails and use caution near water.

Mom Tip: This one is best for families who are okay with a little adventure. If your toddler likes dirt, sticks, puddles, and making your laundry situation worse, they’ll probably love it.

(FREE) New Brooklyn Park — Winslow Township

New Brooklyn Park

📍 Winslow Township, NJ

New Brooklyn Park has wooded areas and creek sections that can give families that simple, old-school creek exploring feel. Think shallow water, rocks, sticks, mud, and toddler curiosity doing what toddler curiosity does best.

Cost: Free

Good to Know: Creek conditions can change after rain, and some areas may be muddy or uneven. This is not a maintained swimming area.

Mom Tip: This is a great one for kids who like wandering, collecting nature “treasures,” and somehow making one small puddle their entire personality.
